We are one of only two companies in South Africa that build these log homes.
We build according to any plan and our homes can be changed to suit your needs.
We build anywhere in South Africa. No transport costs within a radius of 300km from Pretoria.
The standard height of the house is 2.4m above the ground, that can be utilized as a parking space or extra rooms later when required. The height can be lowered with no difference in price.
Our houses are build with a CCA treated log according to code 082.
The wood is treated against fire, water and insects like termites etc.
Our houses are build according to SABS standards and are classified the same as any brick house.
Maintenance on your house is very low because only the sun and rain side walls needs treatment approximately every five years.
The walls inside the house needs no maintenance at all.
The floor can be cleaned with a wet cloth/mop an polished as necessary.

Custom built for your specific requirements, our builders follow a timeless tradition in vertical log construction to create one of the most comfortable homes. The special atmosphere you get from a log home gives the feeling of being on an endless holiday.
Logs are selected from cultivated pine forests especially for your home, then hand-peeled, flattened, grooved and pressure treated with Boron – a non-toxic, colourless chemical.
Hand-peeling enhances the glowing cambium and wonderful knots bringing out the natural beauty of the wood. They are then hand-fitted, producing some of the finest homes in the log home industry.

Our goal at Eco Log Cabins is to provide complete, quality home packages at affordable prices. Established in 1997 as a closed corporation, we have well-trained teams dedicated to building quality log homes.
Graeme Willis, the sole member of the CC, is a founding member of the Handcrafted Log Home Builders Association. Based in Underberg, in the beautiful Southern Drakensberg of KwaZulu-Natal, we will build almost anywhere in Southern Africa. Although we have standard house plans, we prefer to sit with our customers and design your dream home thus ensuring that you get exactly what you want.
